Peer Assistance & Leadership (PAL) Adult Training

The Benefits of Peers Helping Others

PAL (Peer Assistance and Leadership) is a peer assistance leadership program providing effective training in helping skills. PAL combats problems such as:
  • violence in schools
  • drug abuse
  • teen pregnancy
  • gang participation
  • school dropouts
The program provides a critical line of defense both at school and in the home.  The goal of the program is to tap into the potential of young people to make a difference in their schools and communities.

A two-day training for new and potential PAL sponsors is limited to 25 participants and provides a hands-on opportunity to experience PAL classroom activities. These leadership training activities cover important topics such as course training components, ingredients for success, student training, grading and evaluation, helping projects, program public relations, as well as other programmatic issues.

North Star Youth Partnership is the only certified training site in Arizona and can help other Arizona communities become trained in this award-winning program. (See other experiential learning training programs we offer.)
